Concerns over dirty energy and electricity use have followed Kazakstan's Bitcoin boom. A huge amount of the world's Bitcoin mining - the process by which transactions are verified and new "coins" made - takes place in Kazakhstan. The country is now the second biggest in the world for mining after the US - but it has come at a cost, with the nation now using 8% more electricity, according to its government.
