In this video, I discuss "Wrapped Bitcoin" (WBTC). WBTC is an ERC20 token that is backed by Bitcoin (BTC), and that can be transferred using the Ethereum network, or used as collateral in DeFi protocols like Compound and MakerDAO. I view it as nothing more than an interesting experiment at this point. I would never exchange my precious BTC for WBTC.
