Are We Living in a Bitcoin Echo Chamber?

Hey everyone, welcome back to The Culture of Bitcoin! Today, I want to talk about something many of us Bitcoiners struggle with. If you’ve fallen down the Bitcoin rabbit hole like I have, you’ve probably noticed that we tend to overestimate how many people are really into Bitcoin. We think mainstream adoption is just around the corner, and it’s hard to understand why everyone doesn’t see what we see. To us, Bitcoin is the future, and it feels obvious that it will eventually be worth $1 million per coin. But are we living in an echo chamber? The truth is, Bitcoin has come a long way since its creation. It has defied expectations—it wasn’t banned, criminalized, or dismissed as worthless. Instead, Bitcoin is still here and even became a multi-trillion dollar asset at its peak. Despite this progress, mainstream adoption is slower than we often think. Bitcoiners see the flaws in the current financial system, especially with recent events like the banking crisis in the U.S. People were reminded that the money they think they own in banks isn’t really theirs. When banks struggled, panic set in until the government stepped in. For some, it was a wake-up call, showing the importance of Bitcoin: owning your assets, transacting without a third party, and protecting your wealth from inflation. But the truth is, fewer people realized this than we’d hoped. Most stayed oblivious, trusting banks, thinking cash is king, and ignoring how their wealth is being inflated away. Sure, millions might own some Bitcoin, but how many really understand it or stay informed? Probably fewer than we’d like to think. Think about your friends and family—how many own a significant amount of Bitcoin? And of those, how many truly understand its value? The number is likely small. As Bitcoiners, our conviction in Bitcoin’s future gives us a responsibility. If we want Bitcoin to go mainstream and reach those dream price levels, we need to do more than just HODL. We need to educate those around us—show them how money works, why Bitcoin matters, and how it can change their lives. It’s on us to spread the word and lead by example. “Ask not what Bitcoin can do for you, but what you can do for Bitcoin.” If we want financial freedom for ourselves and others, we need to be proactive. Let’s lead the way and help others down the rabbit hole. So, how many real Bitcoiners do you know? How many people have you helped see the light? Let’s all do our part to make Bitcoin’s future a reality. If you found this video helpful, give it a thumbs up, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs to hear this.
