Bitcoin.org takeover attempt - Bitcoin Core removes "Bitcoin.org" from main software client
2024-12-24T16:37:23+0800
Some drama in Bitcoin land. Wait-- that's like every day. Bitcoin.org removed from Bitcoin Core's BTC "Bitcoin" Core client. Does Adam Back know what decentralization is? ------- Colin Talks Crypto's further comments on this: It really is mind-blowing how much Bitcoin is being manipulated based on the fact that it's designed to free from this. It's a demonstration of humanity's worst qualities at work once again, trying to crack the solution (Bitcoin) which was designed to save us all. However, it kind of all makes sense when you realize that the incumbents (banks and fiat) will not go down without a fight. It is entirely possible that satoshi's invention of Bitcoin was just the first step in the greater process of freeing ourselves from economic tyranny, and that later evolutions of blockchain technology will bring about the final result desired. -------- It started with this: Adam Back trying really hard to get Cobra Bitcoin to transfer ownership of Bitcoin.org (so Adam can have more control over it) https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/925k1w/adam_back_is_trying_really_really_really_hard_to/ and this: https://www.trustnodes.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/cobra-adam-back-spat-july-2018.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pLPkx2P.png The lead maintainer of Bitcoin.org is being harassed by CEO Adam Back of Blockstream to give up the domain and transfer it over. After refusing to comply, Bitcoin Core began pushing merges that remove linking to Bitcoin.org from the wallet. --------- Here are the changes in GitHub: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/commit/d2186b3db61a9d4dc2d4a6211573790d9e34bf58 --------- Cobra-Bitcoin not too happy about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/92q3da/cobra_orionwl_very_political_move_why_on_earth/ --------- Theymos doens't have control over the bitcoin.org domain: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/92thu1/core_minions_encourage_theymos_to_takeoversteal/ This means Cobra-Bitcoin has senior control over theymos. --------- As reddit user "jessquit" put it so well: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/92tqn8/list_of_scams_according_to_bitcoin_core/ According to Bitcoin Core: - The bitcoin.com website is a scam - Now, The bitcoin.org website is a scam - The @bitcoin Twitter handle is a scam - The r/btc subreddit is a scam - The whitepaper written by Satoshi Nakamoto is a scam - Bitcoin Cash is a scam - Early supporters of Bitcoin, including Roger Ver, Coinbase, Gavin Andresen, Mike Hearn, etc., are scammers Pretty soon, you have to take a step back and look at whether every single person around you is the scammer, or if it's you. --------------- Bitcoin Whitepaper image with pretended correspondence with Adam Back: https://imgur.com/a/GtpQsog Image by Reddit user /u/jessquit - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ⚡Colin Talks Crypto⚡ addresses/wallets: 💜 EOS donation address/account name: colintcrypto 💜 Ethereum (ETH) address: 0x5b90414Aeb115f910698304E63C2C3092739c9c0 💜 Bitcoin Cash (BCH) address: qpzc3apy9s8x2qtlqxxgnalfxtzgnkg5nq352w9k2t 💜 Bitcoin (BTC) address: 1Da6ivdriJpzqnLkNEa1XnKk5nGCiyRZrF - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - You can reach me at: 💗 Website: http://www.ColinTalksCrypto.com (YouTube channel) 💗 Twitter: https://twitter.com/ColinTCrypto (@ColinTCrypto) 💗 Steemit: https://steemit.com/@colintalkscrypto
